Winter Classes Start February 2

Winter session of Community School Art for Kids starts Tuesday Feb. 2nd. Below are samples of what the students did during the last session. These are from the Tiny Tots group and also from the Art for Children class.

Class #8, Tuesday November 10th

This is the final art class for 2015. 

Look for the 2016 Winter classes which will start 

after the first of the year. 

I will be posting photos of what the students produced 
during the fall session.

Class Number 7, November 3

Our Tiny Tots class will be using white glue, craft foam, pom poms, etc.

The students will have a collage piece to take home when they are finished.

The Art for Children will be creating a piece of art using oil pastels.

Here is some of what we did the last time we met. Velvet and zen doodles.

October 27th Art Class

We will be doing fuzzy velvet art in the 5:30 class.

Zen Doodle drawing is what our 6:00 class can look forward to.

Our next art class will be on Tuesday October 13th

In our 5:30 class the 3 - 5 year olds will be making a project using beads.

The 6:00 - 7:00 class will be painting on wood.

There are no Community School classes next week due to Parent Teacher conferences.

September 29, Class #3

This week our 5:30 class will be making people buddies using wiggle eyes, markers, pom moms, etc.

The 6:00 class will be making 2016 calendars. There won't be enough time to finish

12 months of art so it can be finished at home.

September 22, class #2

In our next class this coming Tuesday our 5:30 class will be doing artwork on mugs and our 6:00 class will be doing porcelain tiles.

Youth Community Education

Fall classes start September 15th at Indian Hills. 

We are having only one Tiny Tots session from 5:30 to 6:00. 

For the first class students will be doing sticker scenes. 

The 6:00 to 7:00 children's class will be working on cartooning.   

May 19th Art Classes

On May 19th our 5:30 students will be decorating drinking mugs.

The ages 6 and up group will be creating a string of flags.

The last time we met the first group made collages.

Students in the second class made artwork

using drawing pastels and silhouettes.

Our Next Class is May 12th

The next art class is number 4 of 6 classes.

Our 5:30 group will be making collages. We will be using Elmers glue.

The 6:00 class will be using oil pastels and drawing chalk. 

We will also do a silhouette using black paper.

Our Next Class Meets Tues., May 5th

For our next class our younger students will be working on a bead project.

Our age 6 and up class will be painting on wood.

April 28th Art Class

In our next class our 5:30 class will be using markers 

on black velvet. 

The 6:00 class will be using permanent markers

 on porcelain tiles. 

This past Tuesday the 3 to 5 year old students did

 sticker scenes. 

Our 6 and older group learned cartooning. 

New classes start Tuesday April 21st

Spring session is for 6 weeks from April 21st to May 26th.

Tiny Tots, ages 3 - 5 (5:30 to 6:00) will be making sticker scenes.
A parent is required to attend with the Tiny Tot student

Art for Children, ages 6 - 12 (6:00 to 7:00) will be learning to cartoon.

Material Fee of $12.00 is due to instructor the first night of class
